TunePort Tutorial

From YouTube to Spotify in four steps. No accounts, no friction, purely local.

Prerequisites

  • Chrome Extension installed
  • Logged into Spotify (Web)
  • YouTube video open

1. Install

Install TunePort from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to your toolbar for instant access.

2. Detect

Right-click any YouTube video and select 'Add to TunePort'. We automatically parse the metadata.

Our fuzzy matching algorithm finds the exact track on Spotify, filtering out covers and remixes.

How it works

4. Sync & Download

One click adds the track to your chosen Spotify playlist AND downloads the high-quality Opus file to your local drive. Best of both worlds.

Troubleshooting

Track not found?

Ensure the YouTube video title contains both the Artist and Track Name clearly. Remixes with complex titles might need manual adjustment.

No Context Menu?

If the "Add to TunePort" option doesn't appear, try refreshing the YouTube page once after installation.

Download Failed?

Check your internet connection. Downloads are processed locally in your browser.
